“You Are My Sister”

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase in hunger and human trafficking in many communities and prompted the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) which represents over 650,000 Sisters to initiate an international campaign to focus attention on these and other urgent humanitarian challenges.

The #YouAreMySister campaign highlights problems that women religious believe are not getting adequate attention in a coordinated way at national and global levels. It is also an effort to raise the visibility of the work of women religious responding to pressing pandemic needs through advocacy, social media and communications work.

Brigidines support this campaign to raise awareness of the issues impacting local communities. We raise our voices and commit our experience and wisdom to call for a global, coordinated pandemic response. Check out the following video for four stories:
