World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
Brigidine Sisters in all corners of the Congregation acknowledge World Day Against Trafficking in Persons – 30 July.
Trafficking in persons is a severe violation of human rights and a serious crime. On 30th July each year, the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, draws attention to this scourge on our world and encourages world-wide action against human trafficking.
Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. ( UN)
The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons theme in 2026 is “Trapped Behind the Scam,” which aims to shed light on the form of human trafficking in which people are exploited, forced, trapped and compelled to participate in online scam operations.
