Talitha Kum – A Call to Continue the Mission
Brigidines continue to support the Talitha Kum Networks, established in 2009 with the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) as an international initiative against human trafficking and exploitation.
The Talitha Kum Networks, all working at the grass roots in a particular region or country, offer insight, news and updates, and information encouraging people to find out more and consider becoming involved in further actions.
“We are deeply grateful to all who are involved in Talitha Kum for their dedication and passion in seeking justice for those trapped in exploitative situations. We hope that congregations already engaged in this mission will continue to support it, and that others will encourage their members to become actively involved in this vital ministry of the Church. Together, we continue building a world free from human trafficking, where every person can live in freedom and dignity in the country or place of their choice.”
– Sister Oonah O’Shea, President of UISG.

For World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2026, Talitha Kum released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a significant expansion of its global outreach and impact.

“Every human life is holy ground and deserves respect and protection.”
