Brigid 1500: 

In February 2024, the life and legacy of St Brigid of Kildare are being celebrated with Ritual, Reflection, Song, Art, Dance – and Joy!

On St Brigid’s Day,  February 1st, the Kildare churches celebrated Brigid 1500 together – including Pause for Peace – in the Cathedral.

On  St  Brigid’s Day  2024, RTE (Ireland) aired a special  Brigid 1500  Episode of the program ‘Nationwide‘.
The episode explores the Brigid ‘Story’, the Brigid Legacy,  and why she is honoured and celebrated by many today. Watch the episode (24 minutes) here:
