Imagining a future in the footsteps of Brigid.
Brigidines across the world rejoice with our sisters and Team at Solas Bhríde as they welcome, lead, organise and offer hospitality at the Centre during Féile Bride, the annual festival time.
Each year, Féile Bríde offers a series of events, celebrations, workshops and reflection opportunities – highlighting and celebrating the customs and traditions associated with St. Brigid.
Kildare Town, Afri, and Solas Bhríde Centre welcome residents, visitors, pilgrims and guest speakers from around the world to the festival honouring Brigid, Flame of Justice & Peace.
Feile Bride 2025 takes place 31st January – 8th February.

Since 2023 Ireland has celebrated a National Bank Holiday on St Brigid’s Day, 1st February.
The “Pause for Peace on Brigid’s Day” movement, that was initiated at that time by the Solas Bhride Team, continues this year:
Pause for Peace around the world on 1st Feb 2025
“St Brigid was renowned as a peacemaker.
On St Brigid’s Day, 1st February, we especially invite you and people around the world to pause at noon (local time) for 1 minute’s silence/reflection and build a spirit of global solidarity for peace. The Pause for Peace Movement is calling us to work together in re-shaping a future without war in the footsteps of St Brigid.” – Solas Bhride
