Welcoming the stranger (BASP News)
The Melbourne-based Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project (BASP) continues to offer a face of welcome to people who have fled their homelands…
BASP was established 25 years ago to work for a humane, just and inclusive approach for people seeking protection in Australia. BASP continues, as a community work of Kildare Ministries, to welcome and support asylum seekers, to advocate and to raise awareness.
BASP’s next Discussion Session will focus on
‘A critical point in Australia’s immigration policy— in particular
relating to people seeking asylum,’
with David Manne as guest speaker.
(Wednesday 18 November 2.00 – 3.30 pm at the Brigidine Ministry Centre, Albert Park).
