Season of Creation 2023 – continued

Embracing our role in the one community of life…     (Invitation & Call 2022)

‘Brigid, in keeping with her Celtic tradition, was wonderfully attuned to the seasons and cycles of nature. She valued the elements of nature: earth, air, fire and water.’ (Source: Brigidine.org)

Brigidines celebrate the Season of Creation 2023 , a time of focus on creation as Gift and on Earth as our common home.

The theme, Let Justice and Peace Flow, calls us to join the river of justice and peace – to take up climate and ecological justice, to speak out with and for communities most impacted by climate injustice and the loss of biodiversity.

During the 2nd week of Season of Creation,
Solas Bhride Centre begins the
Solas Bhride Season of Creation Meditation Series on Thursday 14th September  7.30 – 8.15 pm IST

Through the Congregation Project commitment, Brigidines support the Pacific Calling Partnership (PCP) in listening  to and supporting  Pacific Islander communities to advocate for climate action and climate justice. Another opportunity during the 2nd week of the Season of Creation, is the  Webinar offered by the PCP with Edmund Rice Centre:

Webinar – Pacific civil society leading
on climate: Kioa and beyond
– offered on zoom on Tuesday 12th September 7.00 – 8.30 pm AEST.

The webinar will explore the recent community-driven efforts to advance climate justice on Kioa Island, Fiji. It will be an opportunity to hear directly from Mr Maina Talia from the Tuvalu Climate Action Group, (who shared and inspired at Brigidine Congregational Forum 2022)  and Mr Joseph Sikulu (Pacific Managing Director for 350.org) about the recent developments on Kioa island.
